Additional Material for DDS International Dentist Program Application, Latina Applicant

Recently, I was hired by the XXXX Center of Oral Health, and I am now a professional oral health care provider. I volunteered for one full year and I am thankful for this opportunity that they gave me to prove myself.

I have spent last two years doing everything that I could to stay heavily involved and engaged not only with dentistry, but also research and the community – also volunteering at the XXXX Hispanic Dental Association (XHDA )as well as observing at several local dental offices and attending seminars and conferences. I have completed several dentistry related CE courses at Yankee Dental Conference. I volunteered in setting up an XHDA booth in 2016. I have also volunteered in community outreach activities with XXXX University Students Hispanic Dental Association, have bonded with many members of our community through my volunteer work at health centers here in Boston. I have participated in the Give Kids a Smile!” program, working to improve the oral health of the many underserved children in our community by providing oral health education, screening, prevention, and comprehensive treatment to children who do not generally have access to care.

Another great highlight of this past year, working extremely hard to prepare myself for dental school has been my experience serving as a research assistant to Dr. XXXX and as a co-investigator on a fascinating topic pertaining to ''Correlation between Obesity, Diabetes and Periodontal disease in the Latino Population." Furthermore, my commitment towards dentistry and community service led me to work at the XXXX Community Health Center led by a non-profit organization, as well as the Boston Center of Oral Health. I have had the profound privilege of assisting with various dental procedures from simple restorations to extractions and more complex procedures like full mouth rehabilitation, implants, root canal treatment and laser. I look forward to acquiring as much knowledge, skill, and ability in your program that will inspire and empower me for a lifetime not only as a professional dentist in America but also as someone who seeks to always give part of her life to dental missions, since dentistry is my vocation in the fullest sense.

Thank you for considering my application.

An old wise man and creative writer for hireI help applicants to Dental School from all over the world to be selected for admission. My special interest is in the appreciation of diversity, the basic right of each and every individual in a civilized society to adequate dental care, and the forging of a brave new world in terms of dental technology and education, especially in the area of prevention. DDS Applicants, International Dentists applying to Advanced Standing Positions, Endodontists, Orthodontists, Prosthodontists, and those who wish to advance their education in General Dentistry, I would be honored to draft a model first paragraph for your Statement free of charge to promote my service.

Often, in both the questions that I write for you as well as the statement itself, I contribute creative ideas that help to make your case for admission much more powerful. Dental school is extremely competitive. It is not enough to suggest that you are hoping to contribute to the diversity of the program or to help the underserved; you need to demonstrate in creative ways how your own unique combination of high motivation and multicultural background makes you uniquely suited to dentistry and that you have enormous potential for meeting the oral health care needs of the planet’s underserved populations.
