Why I want to help you get accepted to Dental School

I turned my PHD in World Religions (University of Southern California, 1995) into a celebration of diversity in dental school admissions, especially for applicants born in the Developing World who look forward to returning to their countries of origin to help with the great need that exists for new initiatives in oral health care for the masses of ordinary people, many if not most of whom have never seen a dentist. I do this because I see Jesus in the faces of poor children without adequate health care. Since finishing my own doctoral studies almost 20 years ago in religion, ethics, and liberation, I have dedicated my professional life to the study of what makes the Personal Statement or Statement of Purpose most effective, with special attention to dental school.

Having given most of my life to the study of the Developing World, I have been living in Cochabamba, Bolivia (the poorest country in South America) for the past six years, with my only child David, now turning 6. This is why the following sample of my work is one of my favorites, and exemplary of the kind of work that I most appreciate having the opportunity to perform, helping applicants to get accepted to advanced dental programs who will return to their countries of origin with the skills and resources that they acquire to help those back home who need them most.

I also provide an additional revision at no extra charge after you have had a chance to add anything that you like to the document.

I finished my PHD in Religion and Social Ethics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in May of 1995. Since that time, I have dedicated my life to helping others to have the beautiful and noble opportunity of a higher education, or to be selected for a fellowship, scholarship, internship, or residency opportunity. An eloquent statement often makes a difference.

My own doctoral research was concerned primarily with the Cold War, especially in Latin America.  See my Doctoral Dissertation in the USC database: "Gender, Violence, and Empire in Central America." For over 25 years, I have stayed current on most of the news coming out of the Developing World, Africa, and Asia as well as Latin America, especially human rights issues, and political conflict. I have studied world religions and cultures extensively for decades. Fluent in Spanish, I am published in Spanish in the areas of history and gender studies. As a historian of social change in the Developing World who is fluent in Spanish, I have long been fascinated with Latin America, which is why I have made my home in Bolivia (in South America). I authored my own doctoral dissertation on the role of women in Central American history, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, where I lived for many years. I am now a permanent resident of Bolivia and I live in Cochabamba with my son; we are at the exact center of the South American land mass. Bolivia is the poorest country in South America, but it has an especially dynamic, Indigenous culture.  Nowhere on the planet do people dance in the streets as they do in Bolivia.

Professional Personal Statements in Dentistry

I weave your ethnicity, travels, language, and professional experience into an eloquent portrayal of the best that you can be and the contributions that you look forward to making to the underserved.

About Dr. Robert F. Edinger

I am proud to be an active participant in the creation of a more just, global redistribution of oral health resources. I find immense pleasure in participating in the fomentation of the kind of international healthcare community that fully represents all ethnic, national, or political groups, especially those that have been historically marginalized or oppressed. Most of all, I seek to help those applicants who want to 'give something back', to use their professional training and prestige to improve the human conditions of marginalized or underserved populations in oral health care and dentistry, especially in developing countries.

I finished my Ph.D. in Religion at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in May of 1995. Since that time, I have dedicated my professional life to helping others to have the beautiful and noble opportunity of higher education or to be awarded a fellowship, scholarship, internship, or residency opportunity. An eloquent statement often makes a difference.
